Kenada is the musical project of Scott Burke, a native Australian who resides in the hills of Oakland, California. Inspiration to create music came in the late nineties after discovering the minimal sounds of Detroit Techno through artists including Richie Hawtin, Derrick May, and Jeff Mills. “The focus on stripping layers back and creating movement, tension, and interest across a narrower palette – doing more with less – is an ideal I apply across most aspects of my life,” says Scott. This early minimal aesthetic has been a constant, even as other influences and experiences have helped shape Kenada’s diverse sound.
